Happy Birthday

Today marks exactly one year ago Dean and Jaime were blessed with Zane & his cute little red head! Things are so different now than they were 1 year ago,,, Its truly amazing how much things can change in just one year, I can't help but sit and think about how I felt that day, I was sooo happy and excited for them, and I can't wait for my turn, One sweet day!

Happy Birthday Zane, I hope you have a wonderful day today and many more birthdays to come!

This is the blog I wrote 1 year ago today...
Zane

Which by the way makes me realize I missed my 1 year blogger anniversary, lol....

I had to go back and see where it all started and it took place on November 10, 2008, My first blog it was a hard time for me,,, I was in the middle of trying to figure out what I wanted, and where Michael and I were going in life, I thought then that for sure Michael and I would be holding our first child at least within a year from that first blog, but God had other plans for us, and I look back now and thank him for what he has done, I wasn't ready, I watched a close friend of mine become a mother and realized I wasn't quite ready to give up myself yet, Not that I wouldn't have in a heart beat but I enjoy that I can drop what I am doing and go play with my photography friends and be who I want everyday of the week, without a kid to worry about! I know that one day that time will come, no a minute soon than God intends! I am a different person today than I was 1 year ago and I am so thankful for the way my life has changed and very proud of the person I have become, like I said before it amazes me how much things can change in just one year... So heres to the celebration of 2 birthday...

HAPPY BLOGGER BDAY, Although it was 9 days ago :) :) :)

I hope everyone is ready for thanksgiving dinner, I know I am!

Wordless Wednesday

Please continue to pray, she needs us!

Please repost

This was my last update for you about Carly Driscoll....

"Carly is beautiful not only on the outside but on the inside, you might remember that name because many of you have prayed for her by my request. Carly was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma of the sinuses in February, which is a form of cancer. She is almost done with her treatments, and its been a long bump road for her, please continue to keep her as she moves forward in life and blossoms into the beautiful women she is!"

Well Saturday, Carly was sent to the ER for nausea and headaches. She then started having seizures and was moved to ICU. After many tests were run, Carly was told her cancer is back and has spread, she now has Brian Cancer & the cancer is also in her spinal cord. Carly has been given options and she has decided to STAY STRONG and fight this. She will begin INTENSIVE treatment thursday, which is very painful and will make her very very very sick... I AM ASKING YOU TO PLEASE pray for this child, she is 18 with a long life she has yet to live. Please, please pray.... As often as you can..... The bible says For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20 Please pray for God's presence in her life now, more than ever, so that she feels his peace and she knows he is here with her, watching over her, and comforting her, and please pray for her family, you can't image what her mom is going thru and if you are a mom, try to put yourself in her shoes. Then lastly pray that the hands that touch her are healing hands, they are the hands of God and that they make the right decisions to help her beat this sickness.

Please repost this, blog this, email this, tweet this, whatever you can do to spread Carly's message, God listens to prayers, and this sweet 18 year old needs your prayers!

Thank you so much...

I love you all, & I love you Carly, STAY STRONG!

Five Words

My dear friend, Jennifer from The Days I'll Remember, did a post based on five words. I thought it was so cool and asked her to choose 5 words for me...

My 5 words are journey, marriage, family, memories, and music.

I am going to use wikipedia to define the words correctly then give you my twisted definition on them... :)

1. A journey is a trip or voyage.

Journey- That's a tough one, that word means to me, growing, and progressing in life. I feel like with my photography business I am on a constant journey. The past 2 years of my life have changed so much, it's hard to look back and imagine where I was just 2 years ago. Everyday things seem to be falling into place. I have had to leave behind a few people who weren't very supportive and people who live for competition, but I tell you I couldnt be happier in the decisions I have made and the life changes I have made.... I am on a constant journey here lately and I am growing more and more everyday as a wife, person, photographer, daughter and I couldn't be more proud of myself.

2. Marriage is a social union or legal contract between individuals that creates kinship.

Marriage- Whew, can we really explain marriage, lol.... It's a huge headache, annoying, irritating, aggravating, but while being all of those things, its sensual, loving, caring, emotional, fun, heart moving... I love my marriage & even though its a never ending job, I am always having to work on it and work on my heart, its oh so rewarding. Marriage def. requires two people who are willing to change and willing to give 100%. Oh and it's def. about picking your battles & deciding is it really worth a argument, and 90% of the time it's not. I love my husband with all of my heart and never doubt that I made the right decision by marrying him, and I am so thankful for everyday that God blesses me with him.

3. Family denotes a group of people or animals (many species form the equivalent of a human family wherein the adults care for the young) affiliated by a consanguinity, affinity or co-residence.

Family- I love my family and I love spending time with my family. I was raised to do everything with family and spent most of my friday and saturday night playing cards with family rather than partying with my friends. I have always been a person who would rather spend the day with daddy then hang with friends. Michael on the other hand was raised very different, his view o family is completely different than mine so I am interested to see the even mixture we find when we have kids and its time to raise them. I love FAMILY gatherings and I love being around a lot of people, the more the merrier, & holiday's with my family is the best ever! Family to me is the friends who never turn their back on you, no matter what they are always there for you, and even in the hardest of times when you make the worst decision they accept you with no judgement and hug you and tell you, it's ok, everything with work out...

4. In psychology, memory is an organism's mental ability to store, retain, and recall information.

Memories- When I think of the word memories I start to recall all of the good times growing up, which draws back to my family. I have so many wonderful childhood memories which are responsible for shaping me into the person I am today. I also think about the past 4 years of my life, which have been awesome, I think back to May 18, 2006, the day I met my husband, then I think back to April 4, 2006, the day we officially started dating. Then theres December 24, 2006, the night of our engagement, then theres May 30, 2007 the day I became Mrs. Bell..... So many wonderful memories... Every person has good and bad memories, and a memory is something as humans we had to live through, and those good and bad circumstances are what made us who we are today.

5. Music is an art form whose medium is sound.

i love music Pictures, Images and Photos

Music- What does the word music mean to me? Music is my everything, music is my heart & soul, and music is my reason.
I am a huge music freak and everything I experience I relate to songs, I love to listen to music late at night, it helps me fall asleep, it calms and soothes my soul. If you asked me what kind of music I listen to, the only way I would know to respond is by telling you what I dont listen to, because I am a huge fan of almost ALL music. I like the kind of music that most people would never even thing about listening to. That's me and that's who I am.. I love to sing & I love to find new music that no one has heard yet. Music has always been my run to thing, anytime I have ever been upset music is my cure all. Music in my opinion, along with love, is what makes the world go round!

I hope you have enjoyed my crazy definitions on words, and my twist on things...

If you would like to keep this going, leave me a comment and I will assign 5 words for you to describe....

Happy Thursday..

-Brittany!

Thought for the day

Thought for the day: What is your intention's? If you are doing what you do, to beat someone to the finish line reconsider, but if you truly care & have compassion, invest your heart & soul and your time will not be wasted, and never once will you question if you are on the right path. Nothing happens over night & good things come to those who work for them!

Sweet Kaleb

Last October I blogged about the loss of my sweet cousin Kaleb & his girlfriend Diane here.

I still can't believe today is 1 year ago that he passed.... I remember it like it was yesterday!

I remember standing in the Apple store at the town center getting the phone call that Kaleb & Diane had been in a horrible accident and things werent looking good.... I called my cousin Heather & talked with her, and I also talked with Kari, Aunt Lynn, my cousin Pam, & none of them knew anything, all they knew is, it wasnt good..... Sweet Kaleb went to be with the Lord before I could even get there.. Michael and I rushed to the hospital and when I got there they had both already passed, minutes apart from each other! When I went into see him it was a horrible reality to face... I pray for Heather & Kari all the time, I can't imagine what I would do without my brother, and they have to face it on a daily basis, so I ask that today you say a prayer for them, today marks one year ago that they lost their loving brother so I know today will be hard & not easy so please pray that God wraps his loving arms around them and comforts them in this time of need!! Diane's parents & family to....

I miss you Kaleb!!

Love you, always have & always will!!

What happened if you don't know... Most of you do though... This was the article in the paper..

Friends say the teens, both 16, were destined to marry, be together forever

By ADAM AASEN, The Times-Union

CALLAHAN - They were just 16 years old, but they were the "perfect couple." According to friends, they were totally in love and would be together forever.

Kaleb Whittemore of Hilliard would sing to his girlfriend, Diane Lee Mumford of Bryceville. It was always the same song - Waiting on a Woman, by country star Brad Paisley.

They would have been married, friends say, but a Sunday afternoon crash took both of their lives.

About noon on County Road 121 in Nassau County, Whittemore was driving Mumford home from Sunday services at First Baptist Church when his Ford pickup truck skidded off the road for unknown reasons. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the truck overturned three times, ejecting both of them from the vehicle. They were transported to Shands Jacksonville hospital, where they died. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

The first deputy on the scene was one of Whittemore's relatives.

Friends from West Nassau High School reminisced Monday at the spot where they crashed. Two heart-shaped floral wreaths - one pink and one blue - rested at the site.

Friends said the couple were always together or talking on the phone to one another.

"Now, we know they are together forever," said 19-year-old friend Mark Conner.

"Yeah - they're forever 16 now," said Nathan Mumford, Diane's 18-year-old brother.

Diane Mumford, a junior at West Nassau High, loved riding horses and volunteering at her church. Her brother said she wanted to be a veterinarian specializing in horses.

She leaves behind her parents, Melissa and Jimmy, and siblings Nathan, Dallas, 7, Levi, 9, and Daphani, 12.

Whittemore was home-schooled but used to attend West Nassau High. Friends said he had his driver's license for several months and was a good driver. He and Nathan Mumford used to work on a chicken farm together to make money, collecting eggs and cleaning up.

He leaves behind his parents, Jeff and Vickie, and two sisters.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Tonight I find myself thinking that life is going by so fast & part of me is so sad that I will one day have to face losing a parent, I am not sure if everyone goes through this and feel's these thoughts, and worries, but with my dad turning 50 it's really put things into perspective. With that said, I am so THANKFUL to still have both of my parent's, I truly can't imagine my life without my mother or father, and today, on August 25, 2009 my father turned 50. I am so glad that God has blessed me with 23 years to spend with my father, and I hope and pray that I get many more.

Daddy,

Thank you for always be my first love, my rock, my support, my encouragement, my inspiration, my F-A-T-H-E-R.
I will always love you and respect you as a man of God, I love that we can pray on the phone together and it feels 100% natural and it's so very comforting to know that I have a father that loves the same God that I do and worships him with all of his heart. Word's will never express just how much I love you Dad, and how much you mean to me. I hope you have a wonderful 50th year of your life, you are a wonderful man, and I am lucky to call you my father!

I love you Daddy, so very much & no matter what, I will always be your little girl. :)

Love,

Your baby girl, Britt Britt

drawing blanks!

To be honest, I am in a emotional rut here lately! I have been wordless for the most part, which explains the lack of blogs! I have been super, super busy & to be honest I don't even know where to begin in the catch up blogs, but hopefully over the next few weeks I can try and get you caught up with what's going on with me and my life! I really havent been spending much time with anyone, I have been very distant from some of you, nothing personal, I have just needed to step away from everyone else's opinions and reflect on life and where i'm going and make some very important decisions that may or may not affect some relationships. I have had some AWESOME things happen for me in my photography business life, so if you arent already following my photography blog check that out, you can also see my website @ www.brittanybellphotography.com

The next month is going to be VERY VERY fast paced for me since we will be traveling to Jamaica so my goal is to get you caught up by the time we leave, and to come back with a fresh start :)

So stay tuned, New pictures and stories coming....
